Here's my latest article for my buzz column called Haute Happenings. I did a preview of the Dollhouse 67 Fall Fashion Show this Saturday at 5 p.m. in Illini Union ABC rooms. Dollhouse 67 is an RSO on campus dedicated to fashion: fashion shows, photo shoots, calendars and even a magazine! A new-found friend, Kenneth Crowder (wearing pink shirt in pictures) co-founded Dollhouse in 2008 with a couple friends, and it's grown into something really great! Check out my article to learn more about Dollhouse 67 and the fashion show this Friday.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show - where Alexander Wang is apparently sitting front row - is being filmed tonight!! Sadly, my invitation got lost in the mail.... righttt, I wish. One day, someday, I will witness the creativity and fun that is embodied in the VS Fashion Show LIVE. Until then, I'll be sitting front row in my sorority house when it airs on November 30 at 10/9c on CBS.

Chicago Latino Fashion Week

Exciting news: I've been given the privilege of attending Latino Fashion Week as a under-22 blogger/journalist!! I plan to cover the event for both my blog and the217.com. I'll be attending the Passport to Design Fashion Ball this Saturday, November 13 at Mercedes Benz Chicago for one of the culminating events of the week-long tribute to fashion.

The evening will consist of an Awards Reception from 6-7:30 p.m. and then a Program/Runway show from 8-10 p.m., and all throughout, cocktails, wine, chef stations, musical performances and of course, amazing fashion.

One highlight is designer Lazaro Perez, famous for his breathtaking bridal wear, as seen below.

Art of Fashion Show

So proud of StyleChicago (company where I interned this summer) for putting on such a successful fashion show for the Fashion Focus events in Chicago last week. StyleChicago organized and sponsored the first ever "Art of Fashion" event in a tent at Millenium Park last Friday night, Oct. 22. It featured a range of Chicago-based designers including Lara Miller, Paul Sisti, Elda de la Rosa, Borris Powell, Kirk James Collection by studio 5p1t and Lauren Lein as well as three emerging designers*. Congrats on all your hard work team - it most definitely paid off!
