miley's marchesa moment

If you remember from one of my first posts, I showed some of my favorite Marchesa gowns. Well, Miley wore my favorite design from last season to the AMAs last night and to be honest, did the dress no justice. Such an amazing, unique, statement dress needs to be worn by someone who can pull off such a high fashion dress...and Miley is not that person.

one day...

Living in a sorority house is difficult for a few reasons, the primary one being that closets are this small. I can't wait for the day when I can design my own closest so that all my clothes, shoes and accessories can actually be seen. Goodbye to the days of hanging seven items on one hanger and crossing my fingers that the hanging bar doesn't cave in. Here are some horrifying pictures of my closet here....and then some more of havens that are more my idea of a closet.

BCEC

Sorry for my absence yesterday, this week is pretty hellish due to there being no school all next week. I'm SO ready for this much needed break.

In other news, last night I had an event for a club I'm a part of called Business Careers in Entertainment Club - BCEC for short. We first had a speaker come in and talk to us. His name is Carmen Rossi, a U of I alum who is insanely successful at only 25 through various small businesses he owns. His biggest venture is Chicago-based Wingman Promotions. After a really motivational speech, we headed to Cly's ( a campus bar where Carmen once worked as the GM ) and enjoyed a crazy networking opportunity.

I think it's safe to say all of us BCEC-ers had fun....let's make this a regular thing guys. Sound good?

While uploading pictures from my sister's camera that I borrowed this weekend for Latino Fashion Week, I came across a few pictures she took while strolling through Central Park - and I added one I took using the iPhone app called Hipstamatic. Dollhouse 67's Fall Fashion Show

Here's my latest article for my buzz column called Haute Happenings. I did a preview of the Dollhouse 67 Fall Fashion Show this Saturday at 5 p.m. in Illini Union ABC rooms. Dollhouse 67 is an RSO on campus dedicated to fashion: fashion shows, photo shoots, calendars and even a magazine! A new-found friend, Kenneth Crowder (wearing pink shirt in pictures) co-founded Dollhouse in 2008 with a couple friends, and it's grown into something really great! Check out my article to learn more about Dollhouse 67 and the fashion show this Friday.
