What I Wore - Pac-Sunny Day

Today has been filled with many errands and DIY activities in preparation for the chloe + isabel charity trunk show benefiting Susan G. Komen that I'm hosting with my friends tomorrow from 6-8 pm at Zak's Place in Hinsdale {can you say run-on??}. For a busy day like the one I just had {oh wait...it's not over yet!}, I needed a comfortable outfit. This was the perfect choice. I always feel at home in cut-offs, and this lace top is so lightweight that it felt like I was wearing nothing. Had to edge it up with some studs, hence the belt and the jewelry. You know how I have my affinity towards studs {note my blog name}.

If you're in the Chicagoland area and are looking for something {and charitable} to do tomorrow night, please come out to our event - all are welcome. It should be a great time as we've put a lot of hard work into it:)

Grad Party Recap

This past Saturday was spent with my friends and family celebrating my college graduation. It was a great day and I truly could not asked for a better memory to take away from the party.

My sister and I posted our pics {including our outfits} on The Dreamer & The Doer, so head on over and check them out!

Here's a sneak peak:)

Patriotic Picks

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of posts these past few days...the job search and my chloe+isabel work has taken precedence over my blogging:/ But I'm back, and have some seriously lust-worthy and patriotic picks for the upcoming holiday - the 4th of July! I think between the spirit of the day and the fun festivities that always take place, the 4th has become one of my most anticipated holidays. And, not to mention, its usually one of the shining, most memorable days of each summer.

Anyone that knows me can tell you that I get really into holidays...I mean like the whole nine yards. Between decorations and my themed outfits, I never miss the opportunity to fully celebrate. That's why every time the 4th comes around, I want to buy new spirited items to wear in order to show my USA pride. I picked a few a ton of my favorite 4th-ready items below to get me {and hopefully you too!} excited for next Wednesday's celebrations. I'm especially loving the Wildfox flag sweater in the middle...perfect for a casual swimsuit coverup as shown by a couple of my favorite style icons!

God Bless Amuricah {cue George Bush voice}.

I'll be heading to the lake! Anyone have any exciting plans for the 4th?

That's so Clutch!

Until this month, I had never used a clutch. I have several, but have always been hesitant to use them. I think I didn't like the insecurity of not having my bag attached to or underneath my arm like a typical purse. Considering I have a small large problem losing things, I never wanted to take the risk of losing my purse and all its contents during a night out. But, a few weeks ago, I decided to be adventurous {so daring, I know} and use the Kate Spade clutch my mom got me for Christmas this year. {It's the cheetah one pictured below!} And low and behold, I didn't lose it {or another clutch the following night}. In fact, I loved carrying the clutch. It was a nice change from my typical crossover bag, and I love how much a fun clutch can spruce up an outfit. Due to my new found love of clutches, I'm now always on the lookout for them. With my newly keen eye, I've rounded up some of my favorite ones below!

Pure Michigan

After the fun, alcohol-fueled wedding Saturday, it was nice to escape for a day and night to Michigan to celebrate Father's Day. It was just what the doctor ordered after a late night.... I had to share some of the pics I snapped of the sunset because it was breathtaking. There's nothing more soothing than sitting on a beach and watching the sun come down. Pure Michigan and pure bliss.
